Stacey Solomon dismisses Meghan and Harry book as 'another fantasy novel'

Stacey Solomon has dismissed biography 'Finding Freedom' about Meghan Markle and Prince Harry as "another fantasy novel".Stacey Solomon has dismissed biography 'Finding Freedom' about Meghan Markle and Prince Harry as "another fantasy novel".

Appearing on Loose Women today, she was asked her opinion on the book, written by Carolyn Durand and Omid Scobie, which the Duke and Duchess of Sussex reportedly haven't been involved in.

Stacey said: "I honestly don't feel any differently about them.

"I feel like these kind of books... you either approve of it or you don't. So when somebody says 'they have been speculated to', 'approve all of this and said yes this is what we think'.

"To me, I just don't think that's good enough."Unless they come out and say 'we absolutely stand by this book.

This is word for word how we feel' to me it's just another fantasy novel about the royal family.

"And I think there's been so many of them written and sometimes I just feel like I would rather not read it and not know."I think what they want us to know they will tell us.

What they contest is obviously things that they feel are not true.

"So, I don't think there's anything in there that's upset them or has painted them in a light that they don't want.

"But I also don't know if everything in there is straight from the horse's mouth."

Meanwhile, her co-star Janet Street-Porter said that she "couldn't be bothered" to read the whole book.

"Harry and Meghan, if they did collaborate with that book it's a bit of a PR disaster for them," she said. "The book has some amazingly banal details in it like 'Archie was born with his eyes open'."
