Usain Bolt shares sweet video talking to baby daughter Olympia

And Usain Bolt was every inch the doting father on Friday as he shared a sweet video of himself talking to Olympia Lighting.   

The eight-time Olympic gold medallist, 33, looked happier than ever as he cooed to his baby daughter.   

Usain welcomed his first child earlier this year who he shares with his long-term partner Kasi Bennett, 31. 

In the sweet video, Usain tried to tech his daughter to 'tell Daddy' and 'look at mummy', but his efforts were futile as he engaged in the amusing one-sided conversation with his newborn. 

Baby Olympia did manage to give a response, somewhat, as she cooed and giggled at her father's ramblings.  

He affectionately squeezed her tiny cheeks as she rested in his arms wearing an adorable bee-patterned outfit.  

The birth of their child was confirmed by Jamaican Prime Minister, Andrew Holness, in June as he celebrated the positive news in a congratulatory twThe tweet was the long-awaited follow up to Usain's March

Instagram video which confirmed that Bennett was expecting a daughter. 

Despite his success on the track, he revealed that he would not encourage his children to follow in his footsteps.

He said earlier this year: 'That´s going to be hard for my kid. If they want to do it, I'm fine with it. 'But initially I'm going to say don't do it, because I know the pressure that will come along with it.'

Usain is the only sprinter to win the 100m and 200m golds at three consecutive Olympics, specifically 2008, 2012 and 2016, and is widely considered the greatest sprinter of all time. 

An 11-time world champion, the athlete retired after the 2017 world championships in London where he suffered a hamstring injury in the final race of his career. 

He tweeted in honour of the Jamaican athlete: 'Congratulations to our sprint legend Usain Bolt and Kasi Bennett on the arrival of their baby girl.'
