Motorist jailed for six years after being caught with £60,000 of heroin in his car
A motorist who was caught with £60,000 worth of heroin in his car after being pulled over by police for driving without insurance has been jailed for six years.A motorist who was caught with £60,000 worth of heroin in his car after being pulled over by police for driving without insurance has been jailed for six years.
John Small was stopped by officers in Gillingham, Kent, on 5 September last year who also suspected him of driving without a license.
His vehicle was seized and taken to a compound and Small was detained overnight in a local jail.

After being granted bail the next day, Small attempted to recover a rucksack he had left in the vehicle.Officers then searched the car and found the bag contained two large rectangular blocks - later found to be two kilograms of heroin.
Small, of Ashford, Kent, was arrested again on September 23, this time on suspicion of drug supply.
At Maidstone Crown Court, the 57-year-old pleaded not guilty during a previous hearing to possessing heroin with intent to supply.
But he was convicted by a jury following a trial and sentenced to six years in jail on Thursday this week.
Detective Constable Steve Brown, of the Kent and Essex Serious Crime Directorate, said the amount of drugs found showed Small "played a significant role" in drug dealing across the region.
Drug dealer jailed after police find £300,000-worth of heroin under his stairsHe added: "The quantity of drugs seized had an estimated street value of up to £60,000 and demonstrated clearly that Small played a significant role in the supply of heroin in Medway and beyond.
"He made repeated, angry and desperate demands to staff to return the rucksack, providing further evidence he knew of its contents.
"The suffering and devastation dealers like Small cause to individuals, their families and to local communities is often far reaching.
"Thankfully, the courts have passed a significant sentence, which reflects the seriousness and impact of this crime."
