 X Men-Review

X-Men, the superhero mega-franchise, has returned with a time-travelling sequel bringing together the original X-Men films, the two independent Wolverine spin-offs and the Sixties-set First Class reboot.

The huge cast includes Hugh Jackman, James McAvoy, Jennifer Lawrence, Michael Fassbender, Peter Dinklage, Patrick Stewart and Ian McKellen, and there's plenty for them all to do: Patrick Stewart and Ian McKellen hide from giant, mutant-zapping robots in the future, while in 1973, Wolverine (Hugh Jackman) and the cast of X-Men First Class team up to try to crush the robots' inventor and prevent it all from happening. But what did the critics make of it? Clickhere to read the Telegraph's review. Read on for a round-up of the latest reviews of X-Men: Days of Future Past.

The Times, by Kevin Maher

"Singer certainly directs the film with aplomb. The pacing is whip-smart. The supporting players, such as Nicholas Hoult, as Beast, are always interesting, while a break-in at the Pentagon, masterminded by the superfast teen tearaway Quicksilver (Evan Peters) has to be one of the set-pieces of the cinematic year so far."
