Rishi Sunak told to 'go eat kangaroo testicles' by London MP as huge row erupts in Commons

A London MP has told Rishi Sunak to “go eat kangaroo testicles” in a feisty Prime Minister’s Questions jibe aimed at former health minister and I’m a Celebrity contestant Matt Hancock MP. Bermondsey & Old Southwark MP Neil Coyle, who was suspended from the Labour party in February over allegations he made anti-Chinese comments to a journalist, told the Commons: “Most people made enormous sacrifices.

"They were unable to see their mums and their families. These people were betrayed by the Conservatives who partied their way through lockdown.”

Met with jeers from Conservatives opposite, Neil Coyle told them: "You may not like it, but you can go eat kangaroo testicles for all I care". He added: “Those Conservatives covered DS in suitcases of wine, in vomit, and in fixed penalty notices. Can the PM promise today he will use his powers of veto to ensure no one who received an FPN for breaking Covid laws is rewarded with a seat in the House of Lords?”

Neil Coyle MP said the Tories

The comments were referring to revelations that disgraced 2021 Conservative mayoral candidate Shaun Bailey and several No 10 aides are in line for a peerage in ex-PM Boris Johnson’s resignation honours list. Allies of Mr Bailey insist he did not receive a Fixed Penalty Notice for taking part in a Conservative Party HQ gathering in 2020.

Prime Minister Rishi Sunak replied: “What I can say is that this government during Covid ensured we protected people’s jobs, we supported the NHS…and we rolled out the fasted vaccine in Europe. That’s what we did for this country.” Matt Hancock - who remains an serving Member of Parliament - has been met with huge opposition after agreeing to appear on I’m a Celebrity, Get Me Out Of Here while continuing to be a Tory MP. He is reported to be arriving in the jungle tonight (November 9).
